PBX stands for private branch exchange. The private branch exchange is capable of managing many telephone systems through different telecommunications equipment. A PBX is typically used by companies to connect their internal phones with an external subscribed phone line. - Helps transfer calls within the organization.
- Speed dialing features helps save time of the users as specific numbers are saved in advance on particular digits. Pressing a particular digit dials the number saved on it.
- Auto redial or automatic ring back function intimates an external user about a phone number’s availability.
- Call forwarding diverts all incoming calls to some other phone number. It is a very useful feature for business organizations with busy employees.
- It switches between telephone users to create additional connections.
- Phone users can block incoming calls from particular numbers.
- Night service feature redirects all the incoming calls to any particular number, auto attendant, or night watchman. This feature is enabled for a particular time of the day.
- Conference call helps many people collaborate on the same phone call. This feature allows more than two phone users to listen to the conversation.
- DND (do not disturb) feature prevents calls from being received on phone numbers which have activated this feature.
